Coach & Skater Relationship

Official Governing Body Rules & Etiquette

Upon choosing a coach, you are officially considered their student. To maintain a respectful and professional training environment, coaches must adhere to a strict code of professional ethics. U.S. Figure Skating and PSA etiquette and professionalism must be strictly followed by both the student and parent if you choose to change coaches or desire to add an additional coach to your training team. The mandatory professional etiquette is as follows:

Defining the Coaching Relationship

  • Primary Coach Designation: Once you begin private lessons with Coach Annalisa, she is considered your only coach.

  • Employing a Second Coach: If you wish to add a secondary coach to your training team for a specific discipline (such as choreography, spin technique, or power skating), you must follow the steps outlined at the bottom of this page before booking.

 

PSA Rules on Solicitation & Multiple Coaches

  • What to Do: If another coach approaches you or offers you a lesson while you are actively taking private lessons with me, you are expected to inform them right away:

    "I am currently taking private lessons from Coach Annalisa."

Switching Coaches or Exploring Other Options

  • Prioritize the Right Fit: It is entirely normal and acceptable to look for a coach who best fits your skating style, goals, and personality.

  • Transparency is Key: If you would like to experiment or take a trial lesson with other coaches, please establish this with Coach Annalisa first. Simply explain that you are looking for the right fit. Full honesty and transparency with both coaches are required to maintain a professional and positive environment at the rink.

  1. 코치에게 다른 코치로 바꾸고 싶은 이유와 그 이유에 대해 이야기하십시오(불만족스러운 것은 무엇이든 해결해 보세요). 팀을 완전히 바꾸는 것보다 코치를 팀에 추가하는 것이 도움이 될 수 있습니다.  둘 다 새로운 조건에 동의할 수 없는 경우 코치/학생 관계가 종료되지만 새 코치로 전환하기 전에 지불해야 할 모든 비용을 지불해야 합니다. 

  2. 전환하려는 코치에게 문의하세요. 남아있는 것이 중요하다

       이전 코치와 좋은 관계를 유지하고 새로운 관계를 시작하십시오.

  삼.  항상 스포츠맨십을 보여주고 이전 코치/코치/다른 스케이터에 대해 나쁘게 이야기하지 마십시오.
