Precision on Ice: October Training, Goals & SF Trip Recap
As we transition deeper into the fall skating season, focused practice time and dedicated off-ice conditioning are essential for consistent progress and injury prevention. Review your October schedule & availability, secure lesson slots early, and discover how my recent Bay Area trip reinforces my commitment to technical excellence on and off the ice.

01 / Booking Sessions/Freestyle & Training Strategy
Efficient Booking & Maximizing Freestyle Sessions
Freestyle & private lesson bookings go live on my website the 25th of every month. Please be sure to book between the 25th-1st of the month to ensure your preferred slots and maintain training consistency. Please take advantage of your 8 FREE Public Skate passes through Learn to Skate & Emerald Edge.

Incorporating Off-Ice Into Weekly Training Sessions
Off-ice training is a non-negotiable aspect of being a competitive figure skater and a well-balanced athlete. It builds core strength, stability, and injury prevention. Aim for 1 off-ice session per week minimum. I host group off-ice Monday-Thursdays. I also teach Monday Youth & Adult off-ice + Wednesday Youth off-ice.

02/ Updates & Looking Ahead
Christmas Recital
The Kraken Christmas Recital will be held on 12/21 & 12/22. Rehearsals will be on 12/14. More information about sign-ups and requirements to come in mid-October.
My birthday is 12/10 and I am planning to go to China to revisit my roots after being adopted and never having the chance to visit my hometown in Cheng Du, China. I have been taking Mandarin sessions with Unconventional Chinese and am ecstatic to finally reconnect with my heritage in my native language.
Fit Skate
I am coaching Fit Skate on Tuesdays 10:30-11:00am and recommend Coach Hellen on Thursdays at 9:00am-9:30am.We utilize the full sheet of ice, skating laps, relay races, pushing hockey nets, and push ourselves to new limits.
Fit Skate is a great way for adult skaters to get a workout in before their work day or in the middle. This is a great way to get your endorphins running to maximize productivity and overall wellness.

03 / Reflections from san francisco
San Francisco Trip Recap: Community & Craft

"Returning to the Bay Area was an inspiring
reminder of the depth my coaching has impacted. It was emotional to reconnect with former students and colleagues including Alysa Liu's coach. I am so proud of Bradley who graduated his therapy for autism. I am deeply grateful for this enriching trip and brought immense inspiration back to Seattle."
I was ecstatic to finally dine at Original Joe's, hop on the ferry to Tiburon and over look the city of San Francisco with Coach Lynn, Philz coffee in the marina, and take the trek out Yosemite with my former adult skater and Logan. Unfortunately, the 90 degree weather made it an impossible feat to hike the Upper Yosemite Falls trail. My heart is with the emergency personal families and friends. <3
